Presidential Spokesperson Targets Three Million MBG Beneficiaries

The Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program is hoped to give benefit for three million of students, toddlers, and pregnant women in the first semester of 2025.

Hopefully another 1,000 SPPGs can be added up

It was said by Presidential Spokeperson, Adita Irawati during his monitoring of program distribution in two elementary schools and PAUD in Susukan Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Tuesday (1/7).

Khoirudin Supports Free Nutritious Food Program Fully

Adita added that the MBG program launched by President Prabowo Subianto has been implemented since Monday (1/6) at190 locations or Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG)s in 26 provinces.

"Hopefully another 1,000 SPPGs can be added up to the first semester of 2025 with three million beneficiaries," he said.

According to him, his side together with National Nutrition Agency as the main person in charge keep evaluating the program to get better result.

"There are several inputs that will be used as references by the National Nutrition Agency to make improvements. Such as the matter of selecting menus, food ingredients and delivery or distribution hours," he added.

Meanwhile, Minister of Women and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah Fauzi stated the program is good to increase human resource quality as preparing the 2045 Golden Indonesia.

Not only improving the nutrition, the program also gives impact for local economy since the food ingredients are taken from local people.

"The president stressed that the ingredients must be taken from local people," she stated.

Arifah added her side is ready to make a success of this program since it focuses on mother and children also.

"Parenting education and how to provide nutritious food training must be given to mothers," she added.
